Lisa is an active member of Marble’s Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir and feels blessed to be able to serve her church through her work in the church office. Lisa and her family are also actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation of Michigan.
Lisa and her husband, Kevin, have two children, Joshua and Katherine, both in college.
Lisa’s two favorite words are GRACE and PEACE and seeks both in her daily living.
“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” –Jeremiah 17:7
Marble's Music Man
Michael re-joined the staff in 2009, after serving as the Music Director at Marble Memorial UMC from 1995 to 2007. He also served as Christian Education Director from 2009 to 2015.
Michael is a professional percussionist and has played with local orchestras and bands in the area. When he's not at Marble, you can often find him in a theater orchestra pit playing drums or bass, or Music/Vocal directing for local theatre companies and high schools. He is also employed by Marshall Music Co. as a Regional Recruiting Specialist (the guy who helps kids fall in love with playing an instrument).
Mike has been married to his wife, Laura, since Leap Day of 1992, and has 2 children, Maggie, a recent newlywed who's in graduate school in England and Jack, an undergraduate student at Western Michigan University.
"Go and preach the word of God, and if you have to, use words."
Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator
Amanda has a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University where she studied Social Work and Gerontology. For the past 19 years she has been a caregiver for survivors of Tramatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries. Amanda is happily married with 2 children. In addition to her family at home, she is blessed to have an extended church family.
Amanda has attended MMUMC since November 2009 and became a member in 2012. She is a Lay Servant of Marble Memorial UMC and joined the staff as Children and Youth Coordinator in May of 2019. Since moving to Milan, Amanda has always felt drawn to Marble and since stepping through the doors has always felt the presence of the Holy Spirit.
"A saying that rings true to me at my church home is that a church is much more than a building, but a church is the people. The people here are what invite the presence of the Holy Spirit and every time I walk through the doors, I feel like I'm coming home."
"Jesus said to them, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.' "
